Casa dos Botes symbolizes the transformation of Pico Island’s economy, where whale hunting of the 80’s was replaced by tourism in the 21st century, both important economic activities for the locals in each period.
Casa dos Botes was the result of a careful and complete architectural intervention on a historic building (1947), intended to store whaling boats.
Situated on the south coast of the island, between the villages of Madalena and Lajes do Pico, Casa dos Botes is a reference in the exceptional São Caetano Bay, located 50 meters from the sea.
The building is composed of TWO fully equipped and independent two-bedroom houses: Two-Bedroom House with Sea View (signed on site as Casa Mar) and Two-Bedroom House (signed on site as Casa Terra).
There’s a kayak is available per house for the clients to enjoy the magnificent landscape of the island’s south coast.
