Our bungalows are so close to nature
On Tahiti’s peninsula in the hills above Teahupoo, an exceptional 2 hectare site between mountain and ocean, with a 180° view over lagoon, harbors 9 bungalows directly inspired by Polynesian building traditions.
Raw materials are tampered with as little as possible: natural branches with their bark removed, sawn solid wood, walls made of river-rolled stones.
Soft lines are everywhere, from the roofs in the shape of a turtle shell or a wave, to the curved walls that create a space that is both cozy and unique.
The limit between inside and outside is deliberately blurred: bathrooms have a foot in each world, living-rooms have an open balcony, a bay window that opens onto a wooden deck, vegetal roof.
Built by local craftsmen in order to blend with the landscape and let you enjoy the surrounding nature, these “fare” all have a clear view of the ocean.
You can choose your own universe from our 3 types of bungalows:
- Nature « Fare » open onto the outside world to live in harmony with nature,
- Spa « Fare »: the coolness of an air-conditioning and the luxury of a Jacuzzi with ocean view,
- Sundeck « Fare » with private garden.
周边信息
On Tahiti’s peninsula, in the village of Teahupo'o, 45 miles from Papeete.
On the leeward shore, facing the sunset, Teahupoo is a village at the end of the world. The road gives way to a sea-side path that leads to the Te Pari cliffs and the great open spaces of Fenua Aihere where, not so long ago, "nature men" still lived...
Here, nothing has changed. Fishing, food crops, craftsmanship, and most notably, kind, hospitable people. This is Polynesia of yesteryear and today.
The tiny harbor that gives shelter to local fishing boats and sailboats taking a break from circumnavigating the globe is a meeting place for the whole village.
Famous for its magnificent wave, Teahupoo has become a key stop on the World Championship of Surfing with the BILLABONG PRO, a competition for which the very best surfers in the world congregate.
