Make your escape to this private, secluded, hill top eco-home in paradise with uninterrupted 180 degree ocean views. With native bush and bird life surrounds, the peace and tranquility is unparalleled. Unplug and go off-grid, harnessing solar power from the sun, heat from locally-sourced wood, and water collected from the sky. Reconnect with mother earth by taking a barefoot stroll on the beach, or push your limits on the nearby world-class trails of the Old Ghost Road, Heaphy or Paparoa Tracks. This is an off-grid property. This means the power comes from the solar power system which means you must be mindful of your power consumption. Please turn off lights when not in use, especially after dark. Only use electrical appliances supplied with the house, and please only do laundry if it is sunny. There is a back-up generator which can be used in the event of prolonged rainy weather. Additional written instructions are included at the house for how to use the generator and guidelines to follow. We are available to assist on-site if any further help is needed. Hot water heating is by a separate solar hot water system, or by the wetback fireplace, or by a gas califont water heater. The septic tank is a living earthworm system. Please only use the soaps and cleaners provided with the house. Do not ever put bleach, harsh cleaners, solvents or paints down the sinks or toilets because the chemicals will kill the earthworms. No candles. Please remove outside footwear. Please wash and rinse your dishes and leave on the rack to dry. Lock and close all windows and doors when leaving. No pets please

Wild Weka Eco Stay is my own home that I would love to share with you. I love the west coast for it's untamed natural wilderness, amazing local tracks to explore, and it's temperate climate, even in winter! I hope you enjoy this wonderful part of our world.

Wild Weka Eco Stay is located on a 13 hectare block of land, backing onto the native forest, overlooking the Tasman Sea. We do have neighbours, but being in a rural setting, all local properties a high level of privacy.
