Bethlehem Shopping Centre (Woolworth supermarket) and New World supermarket only take a few minutes by car.

We've called Tauranga home since 2011, Michael is a computer engineer, Cynthia was in corporate finance but has been a stay at home mom since the boys were born. We moved to a lifestyle block in 2021, and we enjoy growing our own food, as well as looking after our pet animals on the farm. We built The Solitude in 2013, and renovated it in early 2024, this was our first home where we raised our twin boys. We've always cherished this home, which was filled with so much love and fun memories. Tauranga has always been special to us. After we moved around the world and eventually decided to settle in New Zealand, we were instantly attracted to the area and put our roots down. Beach, waterfalls, hiking trails, sailing, dolphin watching, hot springs, there's plenty to explore. Tauranga has a lot to offer, and a place for all age groups, it is a good size city without crazy traffic congestions, yet the nature and some secret spots also make it ideal for visits. Urban Ridge is a small community, many of the residents here are retirees so the neighborhood is quiet. The community is right by Carmichael Reserve with duck ponds, a nice size playground, lots of native plants and you may well find the royal spoonbills if you go for a walk in the mornings or the evenings. The house is conveniently located with easy acccess to State Highway 2. 8 minutes to Tauranga Central, and 12 minutes to Mount Maunganui. Urban Ridge has its own commercial facilities, 4 minutes by foot, you will arrive at a superette, restaurant and cafe, hairdresser and a gift shop.
