Irishman Creek Station is a sheep, beef and deer farm located just south of Lake Tekapo among the wide mountainous region of the Mackenzie Basin. Nestled in the heart of the farm, the Shearer's Quarters offers a charming retreat for those seeking an authentic rural experience.
Ideal for large groups, families, and memorable celebrations, this budget-friendly accommodation comfortably accommodates up to 20 guests.
The cozy living spaces exude warmth, featuring a spacious fully equipped kitchen and a communal area complete with a large fireplace. Just a short stroll away, guests can enjoy picturesque views of the Canal and the farm dam. Tours of our farm and the Bill Hamilton Museum are available for those wanting to learn more of the rich history of this station.
Please note we do not take bookings for less than 4 people as it is a big space. If you are a group booking (4 or more people) you will have the entire place to yourselves.
The Mackenzie Region is well-known for its beautiful rugged terrain that makes it the perfect spot for an adventure getaway. You and your family or friends can explore the area enjoying activities such as cycling, hiking, skiing, hunting, fishing or enjoying the various lakes in the surrounding area.
