Surrounded by nature, trees, and birds, you might even hear the distinctive calls of the Morepork (Ruru) at night and the Tui in the morning. On rainy days, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the red tin roof. Come and enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the lake and soak up the sun. If you wake up early enough, you can watch the sun rising over the mountain. Guests will have access to the entire guest apartment all areas are separate from the main house and it has its own private entrance. The comfortable Guest apartment has two bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and the other with a queen-sized bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, a dining area, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is a heat pump and electric blankets to keep you cosy during the colder months. Enjoy breathtaking views from both private balconies while sipping on your favourite drink. We provide access to a gas BBQ on your deck and utensils for outdoor cooking. Continental-type breakfast supplies are provided upon arrival. You can park your vehicle for free in the driveway of the main residence, and the Nest is just a short walk away, with easy access through a lockbox for contactless and easy entry.

Hi, we are Cheryl & Darren We have 3 adult "children" and 7 beautiful grandkids. We are lucky enough to have travelled to many parts of the world and now live in Taupo in Central New Zealand. The number of recreational activities, beautiful scenery, and proximity to other towns and landmarks make this a great place to call home.

Situated in Acacia Bay, you can walk to the local swimming area and beach the boat ramp is less than 2km away. A local store and bar/restaurant (Bay Bar) is 1.2km away. Taupo town is only a 6km drive away. Acacia Bay is a small community with many beautiful homes and Lodges on the western shores of Lake Taupo in New Zealand. There are four main beach areas. It is located approximately 5 km west of Taupo. Taupo is the heart of the North Island and the perfect place to set up a base to explore. Rotorua is just an hour's drive north, while Hawke's Bay and Napier are less than 2 hours east. The ski fields and Tongariro Crossing are a 1.5-hour drive. The Waitomo Glow Worm Caves and Hobbiton are each less than 2 hours away from Taupo. Still, there is more than enough to do right outside your door, with Craters of the Moon (thermal walk), a mountain bike park, golfing, thermal spas, and so much more all within just 30 30-minute drive. Or, just spend your holiday soaking in Lake Taupo's crystal clear waters.
