We love traveling and spent many years working together in the yachting industry. Hamish is originally from the UK and I grew up in Kapiti. Magical Mangawhai is now our home along with our daughter Lily and dog Cookie who loves to greet you at our gate for a few pats. We live on the property a few minutes walk up the hill, if you require any information we are happy to help.

The Hideout is centrally located between the beach's of Mangawhai heads and Te Arai. The quiet valley backs onto 100 acres of native bush. Our ethos was to design an ecologically conscience tourist accommodation. With an emphasis on increasing bird life through native planting and pest control. Your own private "Hideout" with all the country comforts. Unwind with a book, walk the farm to visit the sheep, or take a short walk to a nearby stream and falls.

Come and enjoy the thriving Mangawhai markets and explore all the region has to offer, from world class surf beach's to high end golf course's. Perhaps book a fishing charter or simply enjoy the lovely walking tracks and wine tasting at the vineyard. The vibrant community has developed a fantastic museum and skate park and organises many weekend activities that visitors are welcome to participate in including the Art trail, garden ramble and walking weekend.
