The Belfry

We (Paul and Mandy) will welcome you to the Belfry, while also respecting your right to privacy. We have two small dogs, Emma (schnoodle) and Charlie (mini poodle) who both think they are bigger than they are and take their guard dog duties seriously. They will likely bark when you arrive - we are trying to teach them better manners. If you are bringing your dog, you will find a basket in the bedroom with items that we find useful and some doggy treats. Please do not leave your dog unattended unless it is crated.

Perfect for couples or individuals with a small dog looking to relax after a long drive or day experiencing Taupo's Treasures. If you are bringing your dog, please let us know so that we can advise you of the additional cost. Tasteful decor with comfort in mind. Roomy bedroom with large wardrobe, King Size bed and private ensuite. Because the toilet has a small sewerage system, it is very important that no feminine products, wipes etc are flushed - there is a bin provided next to the toilet. A lovely kitchenette with small fridge, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, tea coffee and sugar. Please note that there are no cooking facilities. Comfortable lounge with heat pump to keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer. Chrome TV, Freeview Netflix and Bose surround system. French doors open onto a decked area with built-in seating. There is a good sized grassed area for dog to play with a fully fenced courtyard flanked by a bush reserve offering seclusion, tranquillity, peacefulness and peep views to the lake - 6 mins from town or 2 mins from lake. There is a blue folder in the lounge with information on things to do in Taupo and restaurants we have been to. There is a USB port near the bedroom door for charging phones etc. If you are bringing your dog, there is a small fee payable on arrival. Please note that the unit is down a cobbled driveway which may challenge anyone that is unsteady on their feet. Parking in carport provided.

A short walk away, we have the Botanical Gardens. We are close to the lakefront where you can find the very dog friendly 2 Mile Bay Yacht Club, which we believe does the best thin crust pizza's in town. Its indoor/outdoor flow means it is a great place to visit no matter what the weather is doing. Our new Countdown is a short drive away.
