This peaceful studio retreat is at the rear of our section, across a small stream where you are surrounded by native, fruit and exotic trees, birdlife and a chance to 'be'. Enjoy the private, secluded spa/hot tub/jacuzzi. 5 minutes by car from Whanganui Central with a real country feel, but 'in town'. King bed (or converted to two singles), access to the family's, swimming pool & BBQ area by the main house. A sink, microwave, toaster, toasted sandwich maker and coffee machine offer self-catering. There is plenty to enjoy in Whanganui from a full-day jet boat trip to the "Bridge to Nowhere" to a ride on the Waimarie, steamboat. Then there are two black-sand beaches, a 30-40 minute walk around Virginia Lake, a visit to the local museum or newly refurbished Art Gallery. Glass blowing, the Saturday market, many cafes and a good supply of restaurants will keep you happy. Whanganui has a long history and the only river to have a living identity. It's a wonderful launching pad for a journey to New Plymouth, National Park or the country's capital Wellington with its ferries on to the South Island. Come relax and enjoy!
