There is a deck with outdoor furniture next to the main drive way where you drive in, this deck is off the main kitchen area from which we can see the top half of mt Ruapehu on a clear day. Gavins occupation is curator of a local bush reserve in Feilding :Kitchener Park. He along with his team have been working hard planting, weeding and building a board walk through the park. very much a work in progress. The public are encouraged to walk through.

It is only a 5 minute drive into our town of Feilding. Manfield is very popular for the motor sports. Kowhai Park is a family friendly park with playground and cricket ground. You can also stroll through the garden and down to a stream. There are plenty of cafes/restaurants in the town. Also a great swimming complex
