These little huts are very unique. Located just outside the main homestead they were used to house the shepherds who worked the farm years ago. They are outdoor living - so you need to go outside to get to your bathroom or kitchen. The exterior is old and original however the interior is new and refreshing. There is outdoor seating with views over the garden/pet animals and Tasman River/southern alps. A short walk away are amazing views of Mount Cook. Please note there is limited to no cell phone coverage. Wifi is limited. We live in the middle of nowhere!!

Mt Cook Station is a 2500 hectare high country property. The Miles family are a young family who love welcoming people to our special place. Tahlia is 2.5 years old, Peter 5 years old and Lukas 11 years old. We farm cattle and have a few pet merino sheep. We have a large team of working dogs and the 3 pet dogs will be ready for a pat.The farm itself is covered in wilding pine which we are logging and restoring back to farmland.

Please beaware that the property is on a public road managed by the local council however it is GRAVEL and can be bumpy. Lake Tekapo Village is approximately 45 minutes drive away. There there is Ice-skating, hot pools and star gazing. Twizel Village is approximately 45 minutes drive away. There are walks, kayak hire, salmon fishing and Ohau Skifield. Mt Cook Village is approximately 1.5 hours drive however in a birds view it is only across the river. (this cannot be walked across)
