We are a Kiwi and French couple with children in their twenties who visit from time to time. Living on the property with us are chooks, an adorable pug dog and a beautiful cat named Hebe. We both love animals, nature environments and travel. Hosts Anna and Sylvain live on the property and can help with information, advice and activity reservations. English and French are spoken. Marahau is in an extraordinary location right at the entrance to the Abel Tasman, New Zealand's most popular National Park. With stunning beaches and parks all around there are endless activities in the area and many within 10-75 minute's drive including walking, kayaking, paddle boarding, nature reserves, canyoning, caves, fishing, cycling, cafes, arts-crafts and wine trails, markets and beautiful natural scenery abounds! The vibe is relaxed, free and happy. It is best to have a car to truly explore the area however there are shuttle buses available between Marahau Retreat and Nelson Airport and it is possible to do many activities within a 10-25 minute walk from your accommodation.
