Your hosts are Sally and Ian Williams. We have lived in Mapua for 9 years, and also run a hospitality business in Nelson City, The Vic Brew Bar and Burger Culture.

Ideally located for exploring the Nelson Tasman region, Hazelwood is situated within walking distance of Mapua village where you will discover interesting shops, restaurants, pubs and local breweries and health and beauty care.
From the village and wharf you can you can discover some great coastal walks, cycling tracks and swimming, or catch the Ferry to Rabbit Island for more of the same. Bring your own bikes or hire them in the village. We offer all the facilities you need to support and enhance your holiday experience.
Historical Nelson city with its music and arts festivals is a short drive away. Golf courses, local breweries and vineyards are all within easy access. For great swimming, kayaking and tramping you will discover all these and more in the stunning Abel Tasman National Park . Drive on a little further to discover the Nelson lakes, Farewell Spit or, if you’re feeling more active, Rainbow ski field or Mount Arthur. As you journey around the area you will discover many interesting art and craft places.
This region was one of the first places of European immigration to Aotearoa. The area is also steeped in Maori history and tikanga (culture and customs )
