“Warm, clean and cosy, a perfect overnight stay with a wonderful host.”
Frankie and Hugh's B&B is bespoke and welcoming accommodation. All rooms are freshly renovated and styled to be clean, fresh and very comfortable.
A mountain stream winds its way through the garden of mature trees and tree ferns. It is an easy stroll into the cafes of Ohakune but the property is private and very quiet.
I was born and raised on Ohakune's outskirts, on a dairy farm. I left home in my teens to attend Teachers College and since then I've lived in Auckland, worked internationally and have traveled extensively. I am very happy to have recently returned to my home town.
People are drawn to Ohakune to visit Mount Ruapehu for both winter sports and summer hiking. The Old Coach Road cycleway runs through Tongariro National Park - I have cycled part of it and the scenery is breath-taking
