Sunrise Cabin at First Light Rangihaeata Retreat

We are a progressively minded family living in the beautiful area of Golden Bay building our eco/ yoga retreat. (In our opinion Golden Bay is one of the most physically beautiful locations in NZ with still a large amount of rainforests left intact, sparkling green rivers and pristine beaches!) Aside from that the people are wonderful,it is a very vibrant ,colourful and peaceful community. I am a yoga practitioner of 30 years and offer classes on request in our nearly finished yoga studio overlooking the ocean or outside on the grass. We are passionate about the environment which is why we choose to be completely organic with no chemicals used on our land. We are a well traveled family, interests include yoga, meditation, art, music, alternative energy/architecture, permaculture,,climbing, nutrition, fishing,motorbiking,cycling and holistic health etc.etc

We are excited to welcome you to our listing , our beautiful Sunrise cabin set on an organic coastal property with stunning views over the ocean. We have private swimming and kayaking off the land (tidal) . Peaceful and private, this is the perfect retreat to enjoy the myriad of birdlife and ever-changing ocean/estuary views. We are centrally located in sub-tropical Golden bay only 5 minutes from Takaka village and another minute to Paynes Ford rock-climbing and river holes. There is a beautiful fairly private beach just a few minutes walk away. Sunrise has a queen bed accessed by a LADDER. The toilet is a COMPOST toilet and is 30 m from the Sunrise cabin. It is shared with 2 people. The kitchen has one wall open to nature. The kitchen and bathroom are 20 metres from the cabin. We have also just opened a new studio called "Heron Hideaway" so if Sunrise is not available check out Heron Hideaway 12980572. It is bigger than Sunrise at 30 m2 and the kitchen is indoors which is why it is a little more expensive. There is a private compost toilet ( the compost toilet of Sunrise is shared with 2 others) and an outdoor shower accessed down a few steps. At this stage there are no reviews for Heron Hideaway as it it new. So if you stay please leave a review!

We believe Golden Bay is one of the most stunning of NZ with incredible weather, still large tracts of rainforests and pristine beaches and rivers. There are many scenic wonders to explore here and many fabulous restaurants and cafes for fun dining . There is always options for great live/dance music and we have a wonderful village theatre.
