Century House Bed and Breakfast is a 1902 Villa, we bought the property in 2019 and are slowly re decorating the old girl. Our guest accommodation is an extension of our home, so we are on site. With this in mind our area for guests has been made comfortable and private. Private guest lounge and dining area adds to the privacy. There are NO cooking facilities in our accommodation, we have made it as user friendly as possible with a fridge, toaster, kettle and toasty maker. There is no sink and we collect all used dishes and take the hassle out of the washing up for you. There are two beautifully decorated bedrooms, taking inspiration from the local area we name both rooms after the local area. The Wiataki room and the Weston Room. Both rooms are lockable so you privacy is guaranteed. These rooms share a bathroom. We operate as a bed and breakfast, serving a continental breakfast which we leave for guests to help themselves. Guests have their own access and can come and go as they wish. We have a Spa on site and our guests are welcome to use this. There are age restrictions (no under 5's) We ask all guest to have a shower as we use no chemicals, so showering before use is very important! We also offer meals and packed lunches on prior request.

Dawn is a chef and a tour guide by trade. She has owned her own cafe and tour company in the past. Due to the world pandemic, unfortunately meant that the tour business was lost. Dawn along with her husband, Samuel and daughter Georgia decided do share their beautiful home with guests from around New Zealand and hopefully the rest of the world. Dawn is a Christian, she loves to cook and entertain, loves to meet new people and share her love of the of the Wiataki and McKenzie region and its rich history. She will love to share her knowledge of the local area.

Oamaru is a beautiful historic town, built around whaling, its history is rich and diverse, from its old town - often seen in movies and commercials From heritage buildss to Steampunk, Cheese and Beer to Little Blue Penguins. Ask Dawn and she will be happy to share her knowledge.
