Modern, compact and very well situated, Ashley Heights offers excellent views of Mt John and the turquoise colored lake up to the mountain ranges beyond. It is located near the top of the Lochinver Rise, just 4 minutes drive from the village. The contemporary open plan living, dining and full kitchen area fronts large floor to ceiling, double-glazed doors and windows perfectly positioned to allow the guests to soak in panoramic views under the big sky, receiving plenty of light and sunshine all year round. It has 3 bedrooms, a queen, and two twins - sleeps 6. There is a bathroom with toilet and a second separate toilet. A separate laundry includes a washing machine, tub, and a dryer. There is also good storage space for sports equipment. The well equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, 4 gas hobs with rangehood, instant gas hot water, conventional oven, microwave oven, rice cooker, slow cooker, and fridge/freezer. Other modern amenities include free wifi, Freeview TV and a Blu-ray/DVD player. A selection of DVDs, board games, and good reading material for adults and children is also provided. In summer cool breezes waft through large glass doors and in winter the ample sized log burner provides the entire open living space with glowing warmth. Guests are also kept warm by other electric heating appliances throughout the house including electric blankets on all beds. A four-burner BBQ and outdoor furniture adorns the large elevated wooden deck which captures all-day sun, complimenting the whole outdoor experience. N.B. Holiday Homes are different from hotels. We supply linen and towels for each guest, however the houses (rooms) are not serviced. There are laundry facilities in most houses. 2.75% credit card surcharge applies to all credit card payments.

The alpine village of Lake Tekapo is renowned for its extraordinary starlit night skies, stunning turquoise lake and majestic mountain ranges. You can enjoy winter skiing & skating, summer swimming in the pristine lake, all year round star-gazing, fishing, hiking, soaking in the hot springs, golf and generally relaxing in the tranquil environment. A day trip to Mt Cook (New Zealand's highest mountain) is a must.
