The house is a typical farmhouse from the periode about 1880, but it is added and renewed several times. The oldest part is from about 1780. The room for rent was origionally a room for storing meat , seed and flat bread, but renovated as an extra living room in 2006. There is an old basement restored for making flat bread. Courses can be arranged. The farm has no animals today, a neighbour is cutting the grass.

I am an architect and cityplanner working in Bergen, my husband is retired and works as a tourist guide in sommer. We love walking in the mountains and travelling.

The village Bolstadøyri is known for the salmonriver Vosso. The salmons nearly disappeared some years ago but are now on its way back. Bolstadøyri is situated close to the fjord and has some old buildings , "Gjestgiveriet" built in Louis Seize style telling the history about the trade route and post road between Oslo, Voss and Bergen. There is an old builing "Slottet" built in dragon style, disigned by Magnus Dagestad. It is nice to go hiking in the mountains surrounding the village, in sommer and skiing in winter. Paragliding is possible from the mountains and kayaking at the fjords. You have to do booking at Voss. From the farm you can easy take the trip "Norway in a nutshell" to Flåm , trips by car to the Sogne Fjord and Hardanger fjord and trips to Voss and Bergen.
