Explore the region by hiking in the famous "Sunnmørsalpane" mountains in the area. Hjørundfjorden is also situated in Ørsta, and is a "must do" in the region. During the summer-season here is also many excursions and boat-trips which allow you to visit one of the small villages in the fjord like Trandal or Øye. Geiranger is also located a short drive and exotic ferry ride away. In Loen, about an hours drive away, you can try yourself on via ferrata routes or take the gondola to the top of "Hoven". Ålesund is located about 1,5 hours away by car and here you can enjoy the fabulous "jugend" architecture. In the immediate surroundings you can enjoy: - a salmon river with water from the surrounding mountains, where you also can go swimming if you dare :) - shopping mall in the city center - short or longer walks in beautiful scenery.
