住宿信息
This chalet was originally part of a summer farm, now converted into a cosy cabin for our guests. We have given it a personal touch including pictures, stuffed animals and books on Norwegian mountains and hiking traditions. The facilities are relative simple and provide the necessary equipment for the stay. Heating is electric, but you may also use the oven for firewood, if you wish to. Dry wood for the fireplace is stored in another house just beside the cabin. Outside there is also a barbecue surrounded with four stumps for seats.
In summer you can park just beside the house, in winter you may have to walk 100 m. from the main parking.

Being situated between the main villages Norheimsund and Øystese allows for a variety of shopping experiences, good health services and some rather special attractions. In Øystese a new bathing facility opened recently. Hardangerbadet has services for health, fitness and bathing and allows for comfortable experiences for the whole family on rainy days. Close by is Kabuso Art Centre with its sculpture museum, exhibitions, performance hall and a nice cafe. In Norheimsund the main attraction is our Maritime Museum which is on a national level. Steinsdalfossen, the famous waterfall you can walk behind, and Sandven Thon Hotel from the heydays of tourism in Hardanger is also found here. At Hardanger Feriesenter there are boots for rent for fishing and touring, and just beside is an ancient farm where groups can visit the gardens and exhibitions.
Only 200 meters from your house is Sjusete Skisenter. It contains sports grounds and 5 km of prepared slops which are lighted at night. In summer Sjuseter is a popular starting point for excursions into the mountains. Several peaks over 1000 m. allows for wonderful view over the Hardangerfjord and the Folgefonna glacier across from it.
