De Overleekerhoeve is located in the middle of the Waterland countryside. A small country road, flanked by polder and green pastures, connects to the front side of the farm. At the rear of the farm a nature reserve called Het Varkensland (The Pigsland) can be seen. A great number of birds can be found in the green peatland area. This countryside is situated near Amsterdam and very suitable for exploration on foot, on a bicycle or by small boat.
