Holiday apartment Op'e Trieme is centrally located in the North-East Friesland region in the village of De Trieme. This region has everything you could wish for in a holiday destination: sea, lakes, forest, scenery, meadows, picturesque villages and a historic city. Explore the hidden gems in this area. There are no less than two National Parks of which one is one of the 44 Dark Sky Parks in the world, a National Landscape, Eleven Cities City Dokkum and the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage.North-East Friesland is an area that you can ideally explore by bike, on foot or by boat. A trip to the Wadden Islands of Ameland or Schiermonnikoog is also recommended. Try to push your limits and go mudflat hiking. The lively villages of Buitenpost, Kollum, De Westereen, Burgum and Dokkum are a short (cycling) distance from De Trieme. Facilities are also located here. The nearest supermarket and catering establishments are 2.5 km away. The larger towns such as Leeuwarden, Drachten and Groningen are easy to reach and are 25 to 40 km away. There is a train station in Buitenpost and De Westereen that connects these villages with Leeuwarden and Groningen.
