Our two B&B suites are situated on a beautiful characteristic, seventy year old British Lightship. The ship is moored in the creative North of Amsterdam, just minutes from the historic city center. B&B guests have their own entrance and a massive sunny terrace at the front deck of the boat. Our two spacious B&B suites, The Upper Store and The Machinery Space, have been designed by a prize winning architect. Each suite has a comfortable king size bed, a private bathroom (with shower and bath), a minibar. There are coffee and tea making facilities. The delightful view from the deck covers the industrial city and the lighthouse of our boat. Lightship Amsterdam’s luxury floating B&B suites, opened December 2019. Good to know: you cannot cook in our accommodation, and, until April, a construction road must be crossed to get on the boat.
The designs and transformation from a working ship to a family home, was a conversion that took us 11 years to complete. We live aboard and welcome you for an unforgettable stay.
The North of Amsterdam is directly across the water, behind the Central Station of Amsterdam. It is raw, hip, and also quiet. Has cutting-edge architecture, exciting festivals, artist studios and stylish waterside hangouts with beautiful terraces. A free ferry brings you in minutes to Central Station and the center city of Amsterdam.
