Het Blij Hen

I am Neeltje van Oorschot, together with my husband Peter we have been living in Oudenbosch since August 2021. Now that the kids are older and almost standing on their own two feet, we could look for a nice place to make our dream come true! In 2021 we found this beautiful place and we moved from Prinsenbeek to Oudenbosch. We were especially looking for more peace and space. Especially more space for our pets such as our 20 chickens, 2 cats and our dog Dokus. The realization of a long-cherished wish could therefore also be realized, our Bed and Breakfast Het Blij Hoen. We like to give our guests the opportunity to relax here and enjoy the outdoor life that we also enjoy so much. We also like to share our love for nature with our guests.

The Blij Hen is located on our property and is suitable for 2 to a maximum of 4 people. This Bed and Breakfast is an annex, separate from our house and has its own entrance. The surface of the Bed and Breakfast is 45m2 and has a sitting and sleeping area with a king-size box spring and a sofa bed, flat screen TV with Netflix and excellent Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Furthermore, the Bed and Breakfast has a dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. In addition, a luxurious bathroom with rain shower and sink. The Bed and Breakfast has a separate toilet. Smoking is not allowed in the Bed and Breakfast. The terrace overlooks a part of our garden. We have created a separate garden area with a terrace for our guests with a view of the garden (200 m2) and our own chicken coop for fresh eggs. There is also the possibility to BBQ for a small fee (only in high season). There is also a Jacuzzi and an infrared sauna (for a fee). NOTE: Breakfast can be booked separately (18.50 euros pppd) please indicate when booking, please text the host additionaly if you like to have breakfast. Vega or gluten there is an addition of 10 euro pp. To be paid in cash or by debit card at check-in. Addition: 3rd and 4th person 10 euro per person per day. Linen package for sofabed 7,50 Jacuzzi can be booked separately (first 2 days 50 euros, then each additional day 17.50 euros) infrared sauna can be booked separately, 15.00 per night please indicate when booking, ask for the price when booking / to be paid in cash or by debit card at check-in. Cycling and walking Bed and Breakfast Het Blij Hoen is the perfect base for a wonderful walk or bike ride through the polder, forests and heathland. And don't forget the city walk through Oudenbosch with of course a visit to the impressive Basilica. Culture Oudenbosch has a rich culture. When approaching Oudenbosch you can already see it, the impressive domes of the Basilica of Oudenbosch and the St. Louis Boys' Boarding School. Once in Oudenbosch you imagine yourself in Rome. The beautiful buildings in Roman style, the squares, the cour of St. Louis, the Tivoli Observatory. Together they form the historical heart of Oudenbosch. And don't forget to visit the beautiful Botanical Garden the Arboretum. Going out There is plenty to do for the whole family. How about a wonderful day of water fun in Waterpretpark Splesj or a day of shopping in Designer Outlet Roosendaal. For the real daredevils a visit to Indoor Skydive Roosendaal. From our Bed and Breakfast, the cities of Breda, Roosendaal, Etten-Leur and Bergen op Zoom are easily and quickly accessible for a pleasant day of shopping or relaxing on a terrace.
