Planta Glamp Farm

Planta is a family owned glamping & organic farm in Huatulco, coast of Oaxaca. We are blessed to be surrounded by nature, our main house is located under a variety of lush trees, which makes it a very fresh and comfortable place to spend time relaxing or socializing with other travelers. Around our common areas, we have 7 hectares of farmland which are in the process of transformation and regeneration from a once intensive monoculture farmland to a regenerative organic farm based on permaculture. Within our farm we offer a retreat center experience in the format of glamping, hostel, and camping for conscious travelers. The farm comprises 28 hectares of which 21 are still primary forest and are destined towards conservation. Our overall project aims to incorporate different agro ecological systems such as bio intensive farming beds and syntropic agroforestry, as well as art and design everywhere possible.

The local community is comprised by 2 villages, El Arenal Barrio de Guadalupe, and San Agustin. El Arenal, Barrio de Guadalupe: El Arenal Barrio de Guadalupe is a small, yet colorful village comprised by a cheerful and welcoming agricultural community. There you can find some stores, local produce, traditional family eateries, as well as a small chapel. It is a short and beautiful walk from planta (about 600 meters from our main house). San Agustin: San Agustin is a fishing community that has grown around the beautiful San Agustin Bay. In this area you can find dozens of restaurant palapas mainly serving local seafood. It is a great place for eating, swimming, and snorkeling. We are also involved with the local community who often share with us their ancestral knowledge of the bio region and it’s characteristics, we strive to share as much as we can as well.
