公司信息
My name is Mauricio, I am Mexican, passionate about kitesurfing, surfing, foiling, and, basically any other water sport.
After eleven years of living in Tulum and working in my kitesurfing school, I am starting a new adventure in El Cuyo, Yucatan. Together with two friends, we built Cucu Hotel & Kite, a small hotel with 6 rooms in a small fishing village that is characterized by its good wind and its endless beach.
If you practice kitesurfing, want to learn, or simply want to disconnect in a beautiful, quiet destination away from tourist areas, this is your destination and Cucu is your place to stay.
I live between Tulum and El Cuyo, but Cucu has a fantastic team that will welcome you with open arms and will be attentive to any need you may have during your stay.
Be our guest!
住宿信息
Cucu is a small and high-end hotel in this beautiful and authentic Mexican town called El Cuyo, in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Cucu blends Yucatan's colors and materials with modern design and comfort. The interior design was carefully curated to offer a welcoming and warm vibe. The simplicity of the rooms is accompanied by handcrafted details made by Mexican artisans.
The property has six fully equipped rooms, a central swimming pool, and a kitesurfing school to enjoy El Cuyo at its best. In the process we try to be as respectful as possible with our natural surroundings, with the latest water treatment system, using 100% biodegradable certified toiletries and cleaning products, and not having one-use plastic bottles or straws on the property, among others.
We invite you to experience El Cuyo in a new modern and comfortable way.
周边信息
With less than 2000 people and sandy empty streets, El Cuyo is a place to relax, disconnect, enjoy nature, and practice water sports.
As you know by now at Cucu we have a Kitesurfing School (MCKitesurf) that offers kitesurfing and wind-foil lessons and rentals, as well as paddleboarding rentals for non-windy days.
Regarding food, we are planning to open our own restaurant at Cucu next year, but in the meantime, you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner at any of the amazing restaurants in town. Here are some recommendations:
- For breakfast, we love Naia Cafe's delicious carrot cake and Anahata's coffee.
- For lunch, La Conchita it's a must when in El Cuyo, and El Costerito.
- And, for dinner, you should go to Chile Gordo, Zapote Bar Asador, Can Cocal or try real Mexican antojitos with El Amigo Willy.
Some people think that El Cuyo is too calm and there is not much to do, but there is plenty. El Cuyo offers a professional climbing wall (Cuyo Climbing), fishing and boat tours to amazing natural spots, flamingo, and bird watching experiences, fitness sessions, yoga practices, massages and holistic treatments, and ATV rentals, among many other cool activities.
Apart from all that, El Cuyo is two or three hours drive from many stunning attractions: Rio Lagartos Mangroves, Holbox Island and its whale shark adventures, Ek Balam and Chichen Itzá archeological sites, the colonial cities of Valladolid and Merida, and the magical yellow town of Izamal.
Do not miss the chance to discover and enjoy an authentic Mexican town in all its beautiful forms.
