Welcome to Casa Chuparrosas, a spacious and elegantly designed cabin in the mountains of Oaxaca. Situated 5 minutes walking distance to San Mateo Río Hondo's center, our cabin sports one of the best views in town. In the morning, the sun peaks through floor to ceiling glass panes, slowly lighting up the mountain range across the valley. In the evenings, you're welcomed home by a warm fire, bamboo sheets, handwoven wool blankets and a luxurious mattress. Our property has taken into account a level of design and comfort uncommon to this area of Oaxaca. The cabin boasts tall ceilings, plenty of natural sunlight, breathtaking views of the mountains from every nook of the property, hand-crafted furniture from the region's most skilled artisans, and specially commissioned artwork from some of Latin America's finest artists.

Marian, our resident chef and on-site host, runs a quaint farm-to-table restaurant just outside your door. At the moment, the restaurant is still under construction so we do not generally have many clients, but dinner reservations can be made 24 hours in advance. She serves a varied & delicious breakfast, as well. Her specialty includes hand-made pastas.
