Casa Gemelli, with its original Maltese architecture, is a townhouse that has been immaculately restored to capture the traditional character whilst giving a new lease on life as a luxurious boutique B&B.
The elegantly restored townhouse, located in the most prominent and historic ‘Republic Street’ in Gozo, was built circa 1890. It originally served as one of the wings of the convent of the Salesian nuns that are still found next door. From the back terrace of Casa Gemelli, guests can enjoy unobstructed views of the Citadel.
Upon entering Casa Gemelli, one will appreciate the traditional Maltese architecture visible in the imposing height of the rooms, the Maltese stone, the traditional spiral staircase adorned with the wrought iron and the cheerful yet elegant Maltese patterned tiles. Casa Gemelli, true to its character, comes complete with a Maltese wooden balcony.
We have been somehow involved in the tourism industry since the tender age of 10, when our mother used to run a family hotel. In 2003 we ended up with our grandma’s family home in our hands, and decided to renovate it into a guest house which carries both our late Grandma and Mama - Maria and Giovanna -two strong pillars to whom we owe who we are today and we attribute our success in life to the moral, intellectual education we received from them. In 2012, we started our second BnB which is located in a rural area. Casa Gemelli is our third BnB, this time in the heart of town - Victoria. With passion, enthusiasm and the pinch of authentic local touch, we like our guests to experience an unforgettable holiday replying to your needs and wishes, surprising and exceeding your expectations.
Staying at Casa Gemelli means that you can wake up, walk out and start experiencing the town of Victoria. A brisk walk up to the Citadel or along the meandering narrow street and alleys in the old part of the Victoria are always a must for those who seriously want to explore Victoria. The main shopping malls and Victoria’s public garden, Villa Rundle are close by.
Casa Gemelli is also central because all parades, defiles and processions, religious or otherwise that occur in the town of Victoria simply pass through this street! All in all, it is truly in the hub!
On another note, it is minutes away from the public transport terminal and there is parking space in the vicinity.
