Coin Sauvage is an Eco Lodge situated on a private beach at the foot of the primary Lokobe Forest, accessible from the village of Ambatozavavy by boat provided by the lodge or, for a more traditional experience, by pirogue. Here, nature reigns supreme: the lodge is entirely built with local materials and consists of 10 bungalows, all with sea views, decorated in Malagasy style with a touch of Italian flair. Please note that, due to the consistently mild climate throughout the year, hot water is not available in the showers. Given the location, we offer limited internet service. The restaurant is located at the center of the lodge, where you will find Mamma Teresa, who will cater to all your needs. All excursions are organized directly by the lodge, which has direct access to the various trails in the park. The Italian-managed kitchen uses fresh daily products prepared in the best possible way. Bread and focaccia baked in our wood-fired oven will be served at your table, along with fresh fruit, natural juices, cocktails, and much more. Nature and relaxation will accompany your entire stay.

Teresa and Pino, known to everyone as Mamma and Babbo, are the essence of this project. They have lived in Nosy Be for 28 years and know every secret of the island. Originally from Tuscany, they built their home here, and their latest project is Coin Sauvage, where Teresa takes care of every detail—cuisine, hospitality, and sharing her love for this country with all her guests. Babbo, along with her, will make your stay special, with the help of various Italian and local collaborators. At Coin Sauvage, you will feel at home, pampered, indulged, and immersed in absolute tranquility.

The lodge is situated at the foot of the primary Lokobe Forest, the last protected park on Nosy Be. Thanks to direct access and expert guides, we organize daytime and nighttime trekking and excursions to explore the endemic flora and fauna. With our boat, you can easily reach Nosy Komba Island, the Nosy Tanikely Marine Park, and Nosy Faly Island. Additionally, we offer island tours to discover its secrets with our Starex. Upon request, we can arrange stays and excursions to the beautiful Nosy Iranja and Tsarabanjina Islands, known for their crystal-clear waters and pristine white sand beaches, through service providers.
