Born into a family hotel business, I'm originally from East Yorkshire and have spent my life working in the travel and hospitality business - as an adventure tour guide in Africa and Asia, a rental property owner, tour operator and hotelier.

Riad Africa has one of the largest plunge pools of any riad in the medina, and also a smaller heated plunge pool for a warming dip in winter months. We have a choice of standard, superior rooms or suites, adjoining family rooms and a couple of budget rooms - so something for everyone. We have equipped our rooms to a high level offering satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, a/c, bathrobes and safes. What we also offer, and one of the highlights for our guests, is a friendly and helpful staff, most of whom have been with us for over 5 years.

Riad Africa enjoys a prime location in the centre of Marrakech Medina only a couple of minutes walk from a taxi rank and drop-off point for vehicles, and only 5 minutes walk to Djemaa el Fna, Bahia Palace, Dar Si Said, the Mellah and Koutoubia. Mellah indoor market is close by as well as several top quality restaurants and bars. The neighbourhood around Riad Africa is a quiet residential area populated by friendly locals. It is a safe area of the medina, clean and easy to navigate.
