We, a couple of freshly retired individuals with a double Swedish/Latvian citizenship, will be glad to welcome you in our house. You will not see us but you will be able to find us in the coupled main house when necessary.

The little town of Grobina has its history starting with a Viking settlement in 6-8 century (not much left to see for non-professionals). It is claimed that Grobina , which is at a small river nowadays, was an important harbor for Vikings. In 14 century a strong castle was built which is still relatively well-preserved. There is a wooden walking trail (3km) along the river with information/exhibition "desks" presenting the past and the present of GROBINA. Very quiet, grean and children-friendly town. Large supermarket : 5 min walk. You will be at 15 min driving distance from the beach and central Liepaja. Of course, local buss transportation is also possible (ticket 1.50 EUR).
