I am from France and I have been living in Sri Lanka for the past 6 years. I run a travel agency Maiglobe Travels in Colombo and also manage the Sayura House property. Traveling and meeting people is my passion.

Sayura House is a newly renovated Sri Lankan & Japanese boutique style family house in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka. All bedrooms are air-conditioned with Wi-Fi & attached bathrooms. There’s a large living room, dinning, a fully equipped kitchen & a opened air rooftop with the ocean view.

We are in Colombo 6, which is about 15 min from the city center. The Indian-ocean is only 1min away by walk and you can feel and see the beautiful ocean from the rooftop terrace. In our neighborhood, there are several supermarkets to buy local and imported groceries. Along the main road, which is about a 3 min walk, there are many sari shops, little eateries selling local delicacies and lovely Hindu and Buddhist temples. The neighborhood has plenty of restaurants offering a variety of cuisine, such as Shanmugas Indian restaurant on Ramakrishna Road, Yaal Jaffna (northern Sri Lankan) restaurant on Marine Drive, the hip Ozo restaurant also on Marine drive, and The Station or Baracuda beach restaurants offering excellent seafood. Mount Lavinia beach is 20 minutes by public transport.
