It is just a few km from the main Wellawaya bus station where buses go to Ella, Udawalawe, Arugam Bay, Kirinda, Kataragama, Tissamaharama and Tangalle.

I have lived my whole life in Wellawaya and love showing people the amazing sights and experiences it has to offer. I have a full government license for providing guide and tourism services around the entire province. I'm more than happy to share my knowledge of local temples, viewpoints, waterfalls, forest walks and natural swimming spots. Just don't hesitate to ask!

A few things to see and do around our homestay; You can easily make day trips to Diyaluma waterfall, Ella Wala waterfall, Buduruwagala rock Buddha statue, Visit a 2300 year old Buddhist temple rarely seen by tourists and only donation to access for locals and foreigners alike. A truly spiritual place in the midst of a deep forest. Discover the secret waterfalls of Wellawaya and spend a day cliff jumping, swimming and maybe even elephant spotting. Hike the beautiful lakes around the area with transport provided and a local guide if needed. Wild elephants are often seen in the morning and evening!
