Sokluy (in English bringing happy money) is operating the apartments. She barely saved enough money to build a small house, but also opened an apartment in 2017 and more in 2022. Now, Sokluy works tirelessly to ensure that you have a great stay as she would like her Happy Home to be your home away from home! Staying with her, you are not only able to know the area of Siem Reap, but you also learn about the Cambodian culture as well. We are also open to socialize, e.g. we can also bring you to the local market where not many foreigners have been yet or you can join us with the family meal.

Laundry and bicycles are available, it is also possible to order food and drinks, all at an affordable price. Furthermore we can give tips what you can do in Siem Reap and Cambodia and help you with visa issues. These apartments are located on the first floor. Access to the entire outside premises, of course also to your own private apartment. There is parking space for motorbikes, not for cars.

The first floor gives you an overview of the area and the roads nearby are suitable for a easy walk to explore. There are some (traditional) Khmer houses, shops and markets in the area, a golden temple, some nice-looking traditional agricultural fields and further away wetlands. As you have a kitchen, we can give you a free tour to one of the markets closeby, here fresh natural products can be bought and it is cheaper than in the center market of the city center. It is a safe environment and it is easy to get in touch with the friendly local population!
