ABOUT US: A HOSPITABLE HIDEAWAY - HOME AWAY FROM HOME. An elegant country design Guest House surrounded different trees & flowers., In the serene, quiet private suburbs of Karen – 30 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport conveniently located [5] five minutes’ walk to THE HUB- MALL & THE OLD KAREN [DUKAS]. The walk to THE WATERFRONT is approximately 10 minutes while driving to THE JUNCTION or YAYA CENTER MALL takes 20-30 minutes.
The Host/Manger [Sue] together with her support team assures all guests totality of a memorable stay in this [Home-Away-From-Home-Guest House]. All the Staff have many years of work experiences and trained in some of the leading colleges in Nairobi where they acquired great value of service delivery. [Sue] has equally wide experiences in the Travel & Hospitality Industry with over 30 work years.
NEARBY EXCURSIONS [10-20 MINUTES] DAVID SHELDRICK –Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Center, Karen Blixen Museum, Kazuri Bead-works, Flip-Flops, Horse Ridding, Karen Golf Club, Nairobi National Park/Safari walk - [all located 10-20 minutes ride from our Guest House. Other places of interest are the City Tour – Nairobi Museum, Kiambethu Tea Farm, Lake Naivasha – Hells gate or The Crescent Island, Lake Nakuru National Park or more so, why not Go-On-A-Real SAFARI. Detailed program - Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage: Located near Nairobi National Park. This orphanage for Elephant Calves and Rhinos from all over Kenya was founded and still managed by David Sheldrick, the widow of one of Kenya’s best known Game Wardens David Sheldrick. David Sheldrick was at the center of the 1970’s Ivory poaching wars in Tsavo National Park. Today, David Sheldrick orphanage is a focal point for Elephant Conservation. Elephant calves orphaned by poaching are brought here from all over the country. They receive extremely specialized treatment here, and literally receive personal care 24 hours a day from highly dedicated staff who becomes surrogate mothers to the calves/plus many more tourist sites.
