This guesthouse “wanco minca” is a cozy Japanese-style folk house limited to one group per day.
It's a hideaway country house where few people and cars pass, so guests with dogs or young children can use it without worrying about the surroundings.
When we renovated this house, we have removed the narrow walls peculiar to the old house and divided into three large parts, which have been repartitioned as guest room, cafe space, and owner space, respectively.
Guest rooms comes with a private toilet and bathroom. Facing the garden with fruit trees such as kinkan and hassaku, you can enjoy the singing of birds and the changing seasons. You can also experience fruit picking during the season!
The cafe space is shared with the owner, but you can freely use this space too. The space was originally created for cafe, but it hasn't been opened yet, so guests can now use it exclusively! For guests with meal plans (dinner or breakfast), we offer healthy home-cooked dishes using plenty of vegetables from Awaji Island in this cafe space. Also, if you like, you can play with our three dogs ( toy poodles)!
Welcome to "wanco minca", an old Japanese style house where you can stay with dogs!
The owners are two dog-loving guys and three toy poodles who moved from Osaka to Awaji Island.
Awaji is a dog-friendly island and called "Pet's Paradise", which has many facilities and tourist spots where you can take your dogs to. Our hope is that you can deepen your ties with your dog while staying here, and spending good time together by visiting those tourist spots or just being relaxed at our guesthouse together with dog!
Of course, guests without a dog are also welcome!
Besides running the guesthouse, the owners also provide lunch catering service by a food truck, so if you are interested in the kitchen car, let's talk together!
Our bath is a general bath for home use, so for those guest who want to stretch your whole body or enjoy Roten-buro (open-air bath), we recommend the nearby hot spring facility called "Sanyu-kan" (https://www.kaigetsu.jp/sanyukan/).
If you wish, we will also give you a bathing ticket, so please feel free to let us know at check-in.
