Modern house in a quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable living space with upper balcony to enjoy BBQ or reading. Also large movie screen area with netflix and other streaming channels. On the ground floor is also a private English school for children so during the evening many cute kids to say hi to. 80 meters above sea level with a far off view of the ocean. It's best to rent a car or rent an electric bicycle to get around. Great place to relax and learn about island life by talking with Rimi who was born and raised here. Tom has lived here 14 years and has an outsiders perspective on life in Kumejima.
Tom loves to stay fit and play sports. Once upon a time a college runner, navy rugby player, and professional boxer. Now enjoys running, cycling, swimming, SUP, kayaking. Rimi loves to garden and make tasty treats. Uses island vegetables, fruits and herbs in her cooking and if interested would be happy to make something with you. We have four children, 3 boys going to school in the US and one daughter in junior high school. Also we are hosting an exchange student, she is in high school.
The restaurants and shops are about a mile down the hill so it's a 20 minute walk. If you rent
an electric bike it's just 5 minutes. Close by is a 400 year old house which is a national treasure and a popular spot for sightseeing. SUP and electric bicycle optional tours are available please contact us for prices and reservations. Guests are also welcome to help with the morning feeding of the cows.
