The Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei is a Japanese inn in the traditional Saen (tea culture) architecture style located in Onomichi, Hiroshima that has been renovated as an open public space. Located on a hilltop, this 100-year-old villa offers magnificent views of the Onomichi channel. Enjoy views of the miniature garden city, Onomichi, which was acknowledged as a Japan Heritage site in 2015, along with historic temples and the surrounding nature.
- No check in after 10PM (strictly enforced). If not checked in by 10PM, your reservation will be marked as No-show, which incurs cancellation fee.
- No access by car/motorcycle/bicycle. There are approx. 370 steps on a steep stairway that you will have to climb to get to Miharshi-tei.
- No children younger than 6 years old can stay overnight.
- Walls are paper-thin and voice travels easily. No recommended to light sleepers.
- Located on a hillside, i.e. bugs are commonly found everywhere.

- Our guests sleep on futon on tatami mattress in a traditional Japanese style room, not on bed.
- No free bath/face towel provided. Bath towels are available to rent. Face towels can be purchased.
*Following the price revision, bath towels will be provided for free for reservations from June onwards(except for the dormitory).
- We have a café/bar but don't serve meals. Overnight guests can bring their own food/drink. We also have a small kitchen for guests.

Onomichi is a Japan Heritage, designated in 2015. It is also known for sea food (e.g. sea eel), and as a film location site for many movies such as Tokyo Story (1953) by Yasuziro Ozu.
