Just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Train Station, Hana Hostel offers basic accommodation with free Wi-Fi and a lounge. Both private and shared rooms are available.
All guests sleep on Japanese futon bedding, either on a tatami (woven-straw) floor in a private room or on a bunk bed frame in a dormitory room. Each room is air-conditioned. Soap and shampoo are provided, and towels can be rented.
Kyoto Tower and Higashi Hongan-ji Temple are both a 5-minute walk from the hostel, and Nishi Hongan-ji Temple is a 15-minute walk. A convenience store is just a 1-minute walk away and a supermarket is a 3-minute walk away.
Guests can cook at the free-use kitchen, which includes a microwave and an electric kettle. Two free-use internet PCs are on site, as is a coin launderette.
No meals are served by the hostel.
We offer a lot of little extras aimed at making travelers as comfortable as possible, from free soap, shampoo and hair dryers to irons, green tea and even laundry detergent. There are a wide variety of comfortable, clean private rooms as well as dorms designed for privacy. Each dorm bunk has a privacy curtain, reading light, hangers and a power socket, while the top bunks include enough space for personal shelves and room for luggage.
住宿信息
Welcome to Hana Hostel. “Hana” means “Flower” in Japanese. We try to be a fresh and cheery hostel like a lotus flower floating in the pond. Kyoto Hana Hostel opened in April, 2010.
The building used to be a local “Ryokan”. We remodeled this into an advanced international hostel. As we are very close from the station and the guest rooms are well-equipped, we will be an good option to stay for not only backpackers but also for ordinary tourists with suits cases.
***We are afraid that our hostel is not designed to accommodate big groups, so we might ask you to adjust / cancel resrvations if you are a big group larger than 7 in total, and we cannot accommodate a group of larger than 4 people in the dormitory room. Thank you for your understanding!***
