If you are coming to Hakuba to party hard this is not the place for you. If you are a family or group of friends who are coming to enjoy the mountains, great food and the valley like we do, we are a great place to stay.
Besides the epic views the apartment comes with everything you need for a great stay. Separate toilet and shower rooms help with those morning starts and a washer and drier means losing a lot less time doing non-fun activities. The dining area has lovely views of the Alps. For those nights you dont dine out locally, the kitchen with stone bench top is western styled with everything needed to make great meals including a full size oven.
The living area has two inviting couches, fluffy rug and a nice large flat screen TV with Netflix etc for those times that you want to chill with a movie or catch up one the latest Orange is the New Black etc. There is a built in HDMI cable to the TV so you can easily plug in your own laptop to watch media including that day`s GoPro action. If you want to listen to your own music there is a nice JBL/Harmon Bluetooth speaker.
Shiho was born and has lived in Hakuba her entire life and has worked at local ski resorts as Ski Patrol and for a long time in a family owned food business. Her passion is food and she knows all the best places to eat in town. In 2014 Pete moved to Hakuba permanently, having visited 6 times prior, abd opened up Lucky Petes Café and Bar which was quickly highly rated on Tripadvisor. He met Shiho shortly after arriving and they were married in a traditional ceremony in 2016. Having sold Lucky Petes in 2019 Shiho and Pete have now established Hakuba Gallery and Gifts which provides local artists and artisans and outlet for their arts and crafts. In 2019 they also established the Hakuba Clothing Company. Firmly entrenched in Hakuba with Pete being the past President of the Hakuba International Business Association (HIBA) they call Hakuba home all year round and look forward to sharing their local knowledge with you so you can really enjoy your stay.
The apartments are a 5 min walk from the Hakuba Train Station which is also one of the main bus terminals. Ski resort shuttle buses are nearby and should you have a car, which we recommend, one free onsite parking spot is available. There are numerous places to eat nearby with English menus but serving traditional authentic Japanese food and should you need a break from that stroll over to Lucky Pete`s for some burgers, pizzas and more. The area is rapidly getting better at night with a selection of small bars and if you are wanting a bigger night Echoland is only a 5 min cab ride away. The supermarket and pharmacy are a 5 minute walk away too as is North Face and Patagonia for a bit of retail therapy should you need it. And their new shop, Hakuba Gallery and Gifts is just around the corner if you want to take a little bit of Hakuba home with you too :)
