The guesthouse is situated in front of a breathtaking mountain view with vistas of Mount Fuji, the Southern Alps, and the Yatsugatake Mountains. Following the principles of permaculture, the owners cultivate a self-sustaining garden that produces vegetables and fruit trees, promoting the idea of humans and nature thriving together.
The garden is equipped with benches and hammocks, offering a relaxing space to enjoy the surrounding nature. Additionally, the owner is a certified yoga instructor and mountain guide, so guests can book optional activities during their stay. Local artists from Hokuto City are also invited to host pottery workshops. If you would like to add any of these options to your stay, we would be happy to arrange them for you.
Optional Activities:
Yoga Classes
Bonfire
Guided Hiking
Pottery Experience
Important Notes:
Please be aware that the hosts and live-in helpers also stay on the property, so the kitchen, washroom, and toilet are shared with other guests. We kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.
The guesthouse is equipped with a solar water heating system, but the availability of hot water may vary depending on the weather. Showers are available, but if you wish to soak in hot water for a longer time, we recommend visiting one of the nearby hot springs. Hokuto City is home to several wonderful hot springs, and we encourage you to enjoy a hot spring tour during your stay.
To reduce waste, we do not provide amenities such as room wear, toothbrushes, or pajamas. Please bring your own items.
Looking forward to seeing you guys!
We are an international couple—a Japanese wife and a French husband—who moved from Tokyo to Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, in 2021 to embrace a life closer to nature.
My wife is active as a yoga instructor and mountain guide, while my husband enjoys roasting coffee and baking bread.
We are happy to communicate in Japanese, English, and French (husband only).
We look forward to meeting you!
