8 minutes drive to Kumamoto Castle. This 160 year old house is located in a total site of 700 tsubo (2300 m2). The cottage you will stay in is a 170m2 single-story house, and all the rooms overlook a beautiful garden. There are two toilets and two baths for your comfort. The garden is full of Japanese trees such as a large camphor tree, pine trees, bamboo trees, cherry trees, and plum trees, which are beautiful in all seasons. The host lives in the adjoining building, so you can spend your stay in peace.
I renovated the old house where my grandmother lived before her death in 2022. The garden that my grandmother loved is now taken care of by me and I am working on gardening. I have a golden redriver, so if you like dogs, please come and play with me.
Kumamoto Castle 8 min. by car. 20 minutes by walk. Suizenji Park 15 minutes by car. Kumamoto Station 15 minutes by car. A 3-minute walk will take you to a riverside promenade where you can stroll or jog.
