From Edo to Meiji period, Kuroshima prospered as a town of the Kitamae shipowners and preserved a sense of unity and tranquility in its landscape, till the day. On New Year's Day, 2024, the landscape of the coastline was drastically changed by a tectonic movement once every several thousand years, and the earthquake caused extensive damage to the village. My wife Emiko and I, are movie fanatics, love David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick. Often travel and take some snaps with my old film camera on the road. We respect traditions and prefer calm and quiet. Assistance will be provided in the reception lounge "Kazoku Kaikan" from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the duration of your stay. In case of emergency, we are available 24 hours a day.

The town's tranquil landscape with a sense of unity, which continuously creates the illusion of a time slip from the present day to the past, is still carefully preserved today. The nearest train station takes about 30 minutes by car. We can provide free transportation from the train station for up to 4 people. If you come by car, you can use the on-site parking lot.
