White Lilac is a romantic B&B situated near Lago Maggiore offering a brand new swimming pool a big garden where to relax. We chose to restore the villa, in February 2015, using age-old natural building materials which offer a wide range of health benefits. These materials also create an environment which immediately conveys a sense of wellbeing. Most of the furniture in White Lilac B&B is antique with many original features such as folding interior shutters, chandeliers, 1920's tiles and a fine old fireplace. We have given each room its distinctive style which makes it unique and unforgettable. The villa is surrounded on three sides by a large two-level garden with an abundance of space for relaxing in the sun or lazily strolling around whilst enjoying the scents and colours of the flowers. White Lilac B&B is situated in a strategic location between Milan and Switzerland, a short distance from Stresa and its islands, Orta, Angera and 35 minutes from Malpensa. That makes it an outstanding jumping off point for so many wonderful destinations.

I was born in Milan and lived there since 2004. I have worked in advertising and video making for big companies since we decided to move to Lago Maggiore. I enjoyed my years in Milan but now I love every single minute of my life here. I love the sunny days, the rainy days, the breezy days, the sunsets and the sunrises. When I look out of the window I feel very lucky to be able to enjoy the light, the scents and the ever-changing shades and colours of the lake.

White Lilac B&B is on the edge of the very picturesque village of Dagnente with a lovely cobbled medieval core. As Dagnente is the southernmost village overlooking the lake, in the past it was very popular with aristocrats travelling up from Milan. In fact it is the site of many historic belle époque villas dating back to the beginning of the last century. Dagnente boasts an excellent bar/restaurant just a minute from the villa as well as a general store. Five minutes away is Arona which is Lago Maggiore's nightlife capital. It makes a great place for an evening meal or drink in one of the many popular bars and restaurants, especially in the car-free old part, with its gorgeous lakeside market square looking out over Il Castello di Angera, one of Italy's best preserved castles. In addition there are many other lovely sites of interest nearby such as La Rocca, a ruined castle, the San Carlo Statue (once the world's tallest), many picturesque lakeside towns and beaches. Stresa is just 20 minutes drive from Arona or Meina, whilst Milan, one of the world's Big Four fashion cities, is less than one hour by train from Arona. Orta Italy's most romantic lake, is just 30 minutes away.
