Historically known for its paper production, Toscolano has a rich past, with the paper mills powered by the Toscolano River. Visitors can explore the area’s industrial heritage in the Paper Mill Valley. Maderno, with its charming old town and beautiful villas, is also home to a year-round ferry service to Torri del Benaco. For history enthusiasts, the Roman villa of the Nonii Arrii is a must-see, while the Basilica Sant'Andrea and the Church of San Pietro e Paolo are also worth a visit.
