Located close to shops, supermarkets, and a ski lift, it provides convenient access to the duty-free delights of Livigno, whether you're skiing, hiking, or mountain biking. The recently built chalet reflects the traditional Alta Valtellina style, featuring natural wood and stone finishes. Positioned on the hillside, it offers an idyllic vantage point for the picturesque landscape. Inside, the chalet houses five uniquely designed apartments, ranging from cozy studios to spacious accommodations for larger groups. Each unit is furnished in a modern style and equipped with all essentials for a relaxing stay. Apartment 5 accommodates 8–12 guests, while Apartments 1, 3, and 4 are ideal for 4–6 guests. Apartment 2, a shared studio, provides a budget-friendly option for solo travelers or small groups, accommodating 2–6 guests. Guests in the shared studio can enjoy a communal vibe, with the option to socialize with the host and fellow travelers. Livigno boasts a fascinating history that reflects its remoteness and the resilience of its people. Situated at the heart of Europe’s alpine roof, Livigno is geographically unique. The river Spöl, a tributary of the Danube, originates in the valley, while the Rhine, another of Europe’s great rivers, begins nearby in Switzerland's Engadine Valley. Until the 1960s, Livigno was largely cut off during winter months, with its high altitude and brief summers making agriculture a challenge. Historically subordinate to Bormio, Livigno’s determined efforts to build an international reputation as an eco-tourism destination have transformed its fortunes. Today, Livigno’s population surpasses that of Bormio, a testament to its growth and development. Its isolated location and distinctive geography secured Livigno tax privileges as far back as the Middle Ages, and it continues to enjoy duty-free status to this day. Despite being one of the most remote places in Europe, with the nearest airport 200 kilometers away, Livigno’s seclusion is integral to its charm.
