We are two architects who studied in Venice and fell in love with the beauty of Burano and the entire lagoon, with the grand history of Venice "la Serenissima" and with the sea... Staying at Ca'Nova you will find serenity and beauty nearby the sea. The first ray's sun caresses Ca'Nova, and for those who like to taste the typical dishes of the lagoon, this island is the ideal location with some of the greatest restaurants! Have a good trip full of the colours of the sky, the sea and of the houses in Burano island.
Lace Museum, just steps from Ca'Nova, near the main square and the church. Ristorante "Da Romano" is a historic and renowned restaurant; at Ruggero and the "Gatto Nero" restaurant, you'll find seafood and local dishes; Ristorante "Da Primo" offers authentic, always fresh lagoon specialties; and "Venissa" in Mazzorbo is a Michelin-starred restaurant with a wine bar and private garden. For breakfasts, quick lunches, and spectacular sunsets with spritzes and cicchetti in true Venetian style, head to Eva in "Pescaria Vecia." The island of Torcello is just five minutes away, accessible by ferry or private boat. It's famous for its ancient cathedral with its Byzantine mosaics and its excellent restaurants (Villa '600 for local seafood and Osteria "Al Ponte del Diavolo" are our favorites). From Punta Sabbioni and Treporti, connected to Burano by public transport in a short time, you can easily reach the area's most beautiful, safe and well-equipped sandy beaches, from the Punta Sabbioni lighthouse to Jesolo with its entertainment options (Tropicarium Park, Fabbrica della Scienza, Caribe Bay, etc.). Burano is the ideal starting point for visiting Venice, avoiding the tourist crowds. You can easily reach the lagoon islands (Mazzorbo, Torcello, Murano, Lido, Sant'Erasmo, etc.) and their bathing beaches, avoiding the city crowds and the crowded ferries from Venice.
