Borgo Argiano and Tenuta Cappellina Winery are property of Tuscan Estates Agricultural Company OU.
The winery was bought in 2012 and Borgo Argiano from 2016. After an extensive restoration of 30 months, Borgo Argiano opened the new concept of casual luxury hospitality business in 2018.

Borgo Argiano is an elegant and exclusive country estate located in the centre of Chianti and just 15 minutes from the historic city of Siena. Borgo Argiano offers 12 design apartments in self catering, which have been carefully restored, decorated and furnished with a sense of relaxed luxury. Lovingly created from an ancient Tuscan hamlet, Argiano consists of 12 fully serviced apartments featuring comfortable living spaces, modern kitchen fully equipped with utensils, sumptuous bedrooms, contemporary bathrooms and private terraces. The main building boasts an inviting lounge area, al-fresco drinks terrace and is surrounded by shaded courtyards. At the centre of the hamlet you will find a romantic chapel decorated with original frescos and bespoke stained-glass windows. Just a five-minute walk from the apartments is Argiano’s impressive cantina of Tenuta Cappellina, here, guests can enjoy a personal behind the scenes tour of the award-winning winery. Borgo Argiano has enjoyed an extensive and sensitive restoration process and is fully set up for weddings and meetings.

The elegant country wine estate is set in over 200 acres of forest and vines and located in the southern tip of the Chianti Classico region and stretches for 2km with most of the area covered in woodland with plenty of wildlife sighting opportunities including deer and wild boar. The lower border is defined by the river Arbia, made famous by Dante in his Divine Comedy as he described the river running red after the battle of nearby Monteaperti, where the Sienese defeated the Florentines in the 13th century battle depicted as the bloodiest battle of the Italian middle ages.
