The new Drangar Country Guesthouse is on a renovated farm, well-situated on the Snaefellsnes peninsula, bordering Dalir, a mere two-hour drive from Reykjavik. We are midway between the beautiful towns of Stykkisholmur and Budardalur, which offer quality restaurants, services and recreational opportunities.
The superb accommodation includes a well-equipped common living space with cooking facilities. Currently there are four unique double rooms with private bathrooms. Two of the rooms have kitchenettes. It is also possible for families to rent the whole house and use the sleeping sofa in the common area.
In January 2021, Studio Granda architects won the Icelandic Design Award 2020 for their design of Drangar. Drangar also was nominated for the 2022 European Union Prize for Contemporary
Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.
Drangar Country Guesthouse stands near the sea, with a wonderful view of the countless islands of Breidafjordur bay. Drangar Country Guesthouse offers a lovely place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Icelandic countryside.
