Dettifoss guesthouse is located in Öxarfjörður.
The building is surrounded by trees which makes it a quiet place, rich of bird life.
Neighbourhood information
It only takes you a short time to get to some of the best places around.
It only takes around 5 minutes to drive to Ásbyrgi canyon, which is a home to elfs and hidden people. Absolutely magical place!
It takes around 40 minutes drive to go and see Dettifoss, the most powerful waterfall in Europe.
You can get to Hljóðaklettar and Vesturdalur in about half an hour. Hljóðaklettar and Vesturdalur is a beautiful rock formation made by the river.
Kópasker is a village north of the guesthouse. That's a great place for bird viewers and there are sometimes seals close to the beach or sunbathing on rocks. It takes around 25 minutes to drive there.
